Dogtown’s priority is the welfare of the pets in our care and to maintain client satisfaction. We aim to give you and your pet the best service we can.
It is important that the information you provide is correct and complete and you must make us aware of anything we need to know (or any subsequent changes) regarding your pet’s health and behaviour. Specifically, any issues with food or toy possession, running off, constant barking, problems with house training etc.
By registering with us, you confirm your agreement to these terms and conditions and that we may rely on the information provided.
We will not share your details with other organisations. However, from time to time we will contact you by phone, text, email, or post with news, offers and service updates. We may also photograph or video your pet and use these images on our website or Facebook page. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive such information or do not want us to use images of your pet.
All dogs must be microchipped, have up-to-date vaccination, and be wormed and de-flead regularly. You will be requested to sign for approval for us to contact your vets for vaccination and medical history.
Only dogs considered to be well socialised, who enjoy the company of other dogs and people, are suitable daycare. Dogs are accepted subject to a 5-day trial period, and we operate an ongoing three strikes system. We may refuse daycare for a pet that presents a risk of injury to themselves or Dogtown’s staff or other customers.
All male dogs over the age of 9 months must be neutered. Female dogs who come into season will not be able to attend daycare for the duration of their season (2-3 weeks). Puppies are welcome from 12 weeks.
Dogs will be walked on and off the lead and taken to parks, rivers, the beach, and woodlands for their walks. To achieve the right level of activity for your dog it is important for us to receive feedback from you. For compliance within the Animal Welfare Act, you will be requested to sign for approval that you allow Dogtown to walk your dog off the lead & mix with all other dogs.
If we collect and drop off your dog, we will need keys (alarm codes) to your property, and you agree to unaccompanied access by Dogtown’s staff. We usually collect between 08.00-09.30 and drop back between 16.30-18.00.
If your pet becomes ill/or is injured whilst in our care, non-emergency cases we will contact you/owner and for urgent medical care we will contact and attend our registered emergency vets. unless it can comprehensibly be proven/shown that Dogtown are liable for any illness or injury, All Vet costs shall be at the owner’s expense.
All daycare charges will be added to your customer account and invoiced, by email, at the end of each month. All monthly invoices should be paid within 14 days of the date of the invoice. Late payment may result in your dog being excluded from daycare.
Cancellations of regular planned days (including day changes with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of your normal appointment fee.
Vacations, we require two weeks’ notice for any absence of more than 2 weeks:
Holiday fees, anything greater than 2 weeks will be charged as follows.
At a rate of 50% of your normal daycare per week and will show as Holiday fee on your invoice.
E.g., If your dog comes to us for 4 days per week, and they are absent for 6 weeks. The charge would be for weeks 3,4,5 & 6 at 50% therefore 2 days charged per week.
